About My Creations
Do you have a posting schedule?+
Nope! I don't put myself on time limits or create in advance. When the urge to make something hits, I create and post. It keeps things fun instead of feeling like a job.
What do you create?+
I create custom content for The Sims 4, including CAS items, skins, overlays, makeup, tattoos, eyes, build/buy items, recolors, and other things that fit the Pine Trees & Incense style.
Do you have a specific theme or style you stick to?+
Not really! I like all sorts of things, so what I make depends on my mood at the time. Expect variety rather than one consistent aesthetic.
Where can I download your CC?+
Patreon is my main spot, and every piece is posted there for free. You can also find my CC on CurseForge and The Sims Resource. Everything is listed on my CC Downloads page so it's easy to find.
Is your CC free?+
Yes. My current CC is released for everyone rather than being permanently locked behind a paywall or early access period.
Will all your CC be HQ only?+
No. I'll be doing both Standard Quality and High Quality package files, so everyone can grab what works for their game regardless of whether they use the HQ mod.
Do I need a mesh?+
If a creation requires another creator's mesh, I'll clearly state that in the download post. If it is standalone, you should not need anything else.
Do your creations work with the latest Sims 4 update?+
I try to keep my creations updated and tested, but Sims 4 patches can sometimes affect CC unexpectedly. Check the most recent post or the CC Downloads page for current compatibility information.
Does your CC require any DLC?+
If an item requires a specific Sims 4 pack, I'll list it on the download page. Base Game compatible items will be clearly labeled.
Permissions & TOU
Where can I find your TOU?+
You can find it on my About page.
Can I recolor your CC?+
Yes, provided you follow my TOU. Credit me as the original creator and do not redistribute my original files.
Can I include your mesh in my recolor?+
Follow the permissions stated for that particular item. If the mesh is mine, my TOU will explain what is allowed.
Can I edit your CC for personal use?+
Personal edits are generally fine as long as they remain personal and are not redistributed as your own work.
Can I include your CC in a Sim I'm sharing?+
Yes, if you provide the original download link rather than reuploading my files.
Can I use your CC in monetized videos?+
Yes, provided you are using the CC normally in your game and are not redistributing my files.
Can I use your CC in Sims stories?+
Yes! Storytelling is actually one of the things I particularly enjoy seeing people do with my creations.
Can I link directly to your download?+
Yes. Linking people to the original post or download page is preferred.
Can I reupload your files to another website?+
No. Please link back to my original download instead.
Downloads & Updates
Why can't I find an old download?+
Older creations may occasionally be reorganized, updated, replaced, or removed. If you're looking for something specific, feel free to ask.
Why was a download updated?+
Updates can happen because of Sims 4 patches, corrections, improved textures, compatibility changes, or simply because I found something I wanted to improve.
Why don't you have early access?+
I have chosen to release my CC publicly rather than keeping it permanently behind early access.
Do you still have Patreon?+
Yes, but Patreon is not used to permanently lock my CC away from everyone else.
Troubleshooting
Your CC isn't showing up in my game. What should I do?+
First make sure:
  1. The .package file is actually inside your Mods folder.
  2. Custom Content is enabled in Game Options.
  3. Script Mods are enabled if the download contains a script.
  4. Your game has been restarted after changing those settings.
  5. The file isn't still inside a .zip or .rar.
  6. You don't have an outdated version of the same item installed somewhere else.
My game is throwing an error after installing your CC. Is your CC broken?+
Not necessarily. Sims 4 errors can have many causes, including conflicting mods, outdated script mods, duplicate files, or unrelated CC. Remove the item and test again before determining whether it is the cause.
Can you help me troubleshoot my entire Mods folder?+
I can help you narrow down a problem and explain how to test CC, but I can't guarantee that a problem is caused by one of my files without testing.
About Pine Trees & Incense
Where does the name Pine Trees and Incense come from?+

Pine trees and pine incense spiritually symbolize longevity, resilience, and the triumph of life over hardship because they stay green through harsh winters.

What is Pineveil?+

Pineveil is a story universe within Pine Trees & Incense. It combines folklore, the supernatural, mystery, cozy woodland settings, and a touch of psychological horror.

Pineveil began as a world built around my Sims 4 creations and has grown into its own ongoing story, with characters, families, secrets, relics, and lore that connect different parts of the world together.

You can think of Pineveil as the darker, more mysterious side of Pine Trees & Incense. While the CC can stand completely on its own, some creations are inspired by or connected to the stories and characters of Pineveil.

And there is still plenty of Pineveil left to uncover.

Can I suggest an idea for CC?+

Absolutely! I love hearing what people would like to see in their games.

You are welcome to send me suggestions for clothing, makeup, furniture, clutter, recolors, themes, or other CC ideas. I can't promise that I'll make every suggestion, but your ideas can absolutely inspire future creations.

Sometimes an idea may also spark something completely different that I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

Will you make more CC for Pineveil?+

Yes! Pineveil is an ongoing project, so there will definitely be more Pineveil inspired CC in the future.

Some creations may be directly connected to characters, locations, objects, or events from the story, while others may simply fit the atmosphere and world of Pineveil.

There is still a lot of the world to build, and I want the CC and the story to continue growing together.

Do you take commissions?+

Not at this time.

I currently create based on my own ideas, inspiration, and projects that I want to explore. That may change in the future, but for now I am not accepting custom CC commissions.
